Goal(s)

Help the pony stay straight, reduce run-outs, and teach him to pay more attention to where he places his feet.

Process

Set up a corridor of cones before and after the poles.
Place a ground pole before the small cross-rail.
Place a second ground pole after the cross-rail.
Lead the pony through at the walk, then at the trot in-hand.
Reward when he stays straight and negotiates the exercise calmly.

Difficulties

Easy: ground poles only.
Medium: a small 30 cm (1 ft) cross-rail.
Difficult: slightly increase the height of the cross-rail.
