Improve steering and partnership with your horse or pony.
Begin on a circle: ask your horse to yield the hindquarters, then move forward, halt in the second gate of cones, and rein-back to the first gate. Next, lead your horse or pony over raised poles (the handler must remain outside the poles). Then walk forward and make a circle at the walk as if on a lunge line. For the slalom: the handler must stay outside and ask the horse or pony to move away and come closer. Finally, the horse or pony must walk through a water tray.
The horse or pony must move away from and come closer to the handler.
