Process

This exercise can be executed in various ways with increasing difficulty.

1) The blue path (easy) involves jumping each line individually while maintaining a regular and consistent canter with control and straightness.

2) The purple path (medium). This means 1 and 2 the vertical line/oxer along the length, 3 turn right, pass behind the vertical and take the last vertical of the diagonal. 4 large curve to the left and take the vertical of the second diagonal. 5 the first vertical of the other diagonal then following 6 the oxer perpendicular to the exit of the diagonal. And lastly, 7 the other oxer at the entrance of the diagonal to the left. On this path, the aim is to have a calm horse that takes time to turn and place its feet. The rider must be precise to maintain regularity and optimal direction.

3) The pink course (difficult) requires great precision from the rider and calmness from the horse to be executed correctly. 1 the oxer along the length, 2 the vertical to the right, 3 the vertical along the length, 4 the vertical to the left, large curve to the right to go to 5 the vertical at the entrance of the diagonal then curved line to come to 6 the oxer to the left. Turn around for 7 the vertical perpendicular to 6. And finally, curve to the left to come to 8 the oxer.

Difficulties

The challenges of this exercise are the high demand for concentration and precision from the rider. Control and consistency of the canter are also very important for successful execution. The exercise is ideal for horses that rush their fences and tend to hurry. Relaxation is sought. Do not attempt with a young horse.
