Goal(s)
React quickly, work on rider reflexes
Process
Begin with a fairly classic warm-up at all three gaits.
This exercise is performed with a coach or a person on the ground, who will indicate the direction to take.
To start, ride down the center line at the trot. As riders approach the first jump, the coach calls out the direction to take (for example: RIGHT – the rider takes the curved line to the right; LEFT – the rider takes the curved line to the left; if nothing is said, the rider continues straight).
After two rounds at the trot, repeat the exercise at the canter.
Depending on how the session is going, you can raise the poles. If the riders are comfortable, call out the direction later to increase the difficulty.
Difficulties
Can be adapted to suit the riders' level.

super exo qui en plus empêche l’anticipation du cheval à nos demandes et qui l’oblige à se concentrer
