Goal(s)

Improve leading and in-hand halts.

Process

Lead your horse over the four ground poles set across the middle of the arena. Then turn to the side to come between your first pair of parallel poles: ask your horse to halt. Stroke and reward, then ask him to walk on again and proceed to the second pair of parallel poles. Ask for a halt, then ask for a rein-back, praise, and ask him to walk on. Go to the third pair of parallel poles, ask for a halt, reward, and then resume the walk.
