Goal(s)
Lateral movements at a distance
Process
The rider is in their zone, with the horse facing them. The rider initiates a first lateral movement over the first pole, then, once all four hooves have crossed, asks the horse to back up to the second pole. The rider then asks the horse to perform a lateral movement in the opposite direction over the second pole. Once at the end of the pole, the rider asks the horse to back up again to perform a final lateral movement over the third pole. The horse then returns to face the rider.
